The HD PENTAX-DA 35mmF2.8 Macro Limited macro lens offers 1:1 magnification

This macro lens has a natural angle of view close to the naked eye and can also be used as a standard lens. On an APS-C camera, it offers a focal length equivalent to approx. 53.5 mm on a 35 mm full-frame sensor.

It allows also close-ups of up to 1:1 (1X) at a distance of 3 cm from the lens front surface. This makes it suitable for a wide range of shooting situations, such as plants, reproductions or tabletop macros.

Unique imaging performance found only in the Limited series.

The FREE (fixed rear element extension) focusing system is used to correct various types of aberrations from the close distances to the infinity end and to produce images with low distortion.

New HD coating

This lens uses the new-generation multicoating "HD Coating" that reduces the reflection rate in the visible spectrum up to 50% or more than conventional multicoating. This enables the reduction of flare and ghosting for the shooting of clear, high-contrast images even under backlighting and other adverse conditions.

Lens Hood included

In addition to a variety of features, such as our unique HD-multi-coating and the prevention of reflections in the lens barrel, a Retractable sliding hood, and out of the way easy to be stored out of the way. is included with this PENTAX lens to minimise ghosting and flare that occurs in backlit and other adverse conditions.

SP coating is a PENTAX-original special coating that provides superior performance inrepelling water and oils. It is used on the front surface of the firsthigh-performance lens for effective protection of the lens surface. Thiscoating not only prevents adhesion of dust, water drops, oils, and othersubstances, but it also makes it easy to wipe off objects that adhere to thelens.

Round-shaped diaphragm for beautiful out-of-focus rendition
Featuring a completely round-shaped diaphragm to optimise the performance of their distinctive optics. This diaphragm produces a natural, beautiful bokeh (out-of-focus) effect, while minimizing the streaking effect of point lightsources.

Quick-Shift Focus System
After focusing using the autofocus, the focus ring can be turned to allow immediate focus adjustment using the manual focus. This feature enables smooth operability by eliminating the need for an AF/MF switching operation. This is useful during closeup photography, for instance, when you want to shoot while making fine adjustments to the focus

PENTAX K Mount

The lens mounts for PENTAX interchangeable lenses are based on the bayonet K mount, which has remained unchanged since its inception in 1975. It is a mount unique to PENTAX that features a large aperture combined with superior ease of replacement, accuracy, and toughness. These features are utilized to comfortably incorporate an iris control mechanism, autofocus mechanism, and other functions for enabling nearly complete compatibility with conventional lenses.
